Centre d'Estudis de Temes ContemporanisThe Centre d'Estudis de Temes Contemporanis (CETC) is a research centre devoted to analysis and debate (think tank)
It was created in 1989 to carry on a task that nowadays is highly relevant in the academic, social and institutional domain.
The Centre is attached to the General Secretary of the Ministry of the Presidency of the Generalitat of Catalonia (Autonomous Government).
The former directors have been: Jaume Lorés (1989-1998), Àngel Castiñeira (1998-2004), Jaume Renyer (2004-2005), Enric Pujol (2005-2006), Joaquim Albareda, (2006) and Alfred Bosch (2007-2010).
From now onwards, the new director is Ferran Sáez Mateu.
The CETC belongs to the government of Catalunya, autonomous community of the Spanish State (http://www.gencat.cat/catalunya/eng/index.htm) and according to the article 28 of the Decree 325/2011 of April 26, its tasks are as follows:
The CETC has a stable team of specialists who coordinate the research work, the publications and the rest of the activities (courses, conferences and seminars).
