Along the last years not only an increase of the immigrant
population but especially a radical change in origins has taken place.
If in the mid-seventies, nine out of ten foreigners came from the
European community or of North America, at present it is only one out
of ten, while 4 are non-EU Europeans, 2 are Africans, 2 Asians and 1
of Latin american. It is also interesting to note that almost 50% of
immigrants are not Christian and a third part declare themselves
Muslim.
